Sophisticated craftsmanship meets a fascinating play of subtle colour nuances: Iris von Arnim‘s Pre Fall 2024 Collection is a modern interpretation of luxury knitwear.
With this collection, Iris von Arnim returns to the core of the brand: a calm, timeless design approach with a strong focus on exclusive cashmere knit structures, crafted by our long-standing partners in Italy. In addition to cardigan structure, this season‘s emphasis is on cable knit and woven pattern, as well as on the multifaceted range of colours. This gives Iris von Arnim‘s clear aesthetics a unique flair.
Hamburg once again serves as a great inspiration for the designer and the design team in this season. The campaign for the Pre Fall 2024 Collection was photographed in the building of the Hochschule für bildende Künste (HFBK) in Hamburg - a place with pulsating creativity, firmly linked to the Hanseatic city‘s philosophy of life.
THE ICON: FALLOU
FALLOU is one of our all-time favourites and is reissued every collection in the season’s colours. The sweater with a stand-up collar, 3/4 sleeves and a casual fit is made in Italy from 100% cashmere with a half-cardigan structure. New in the Pre Fall Collection is the zip jacket FALLOU ZIP. Both styles are available in the colours Black, Platinum, Ecru, Lobster, Rose, Ice Blue and Alabaster.
VANISÉ CASHMERE
Special features of the Pre Fall Collection are the Vanisé designs, which are made in Italy: the colours Ice Blue and Alabaster colours from the cashmere group are manufactured with this special colour effect: it creates a vibrant play of soft contrasts, making the stitch structure appear to blur.
Two different yarn colours are used on the left and right side of the knit: a main yarn coloured in Alabaster or Ice Blue and a second one in Ecru. The colour Ecru is visible on the surface of the embossed stitches, creating more depth in the stitch pattern.
THE RAINBOW SWEATER
Knitwear in rainbow colours is a recurring theme in Iris von Arnim’s life. It all started with the rainbow sweater. Over the years, the beloved original design has been recreated in new variations and colour combinations. In the Pre Fall 2024 Collection, the iconic sweater is given a new interpretation as a pastel rainbow made from a cashmere-silk blend in Blue-Alabaster-Rose degradé.
DOUBLEFACE CASHMERE
The doubleface outerwear designed by Iris von Arnim consists of two woven layers of fabric, which are then joined together: the styles do not need a lining and are particularly light. The ‘invisible’ seams in the doubleface garments are sewn by hand: this elaborate work is what makes out doubleface products high in quality and value. In the Pre Fall collection, the outerwear styles are made from a cashmere-wool blend. The wool adds more stability to the soft and gentle character of the cashmere and makes it water-repellent.
