Christmas greetings from Paris! An interview with Chi-Young Bang, who created very special cookies for Iris von Arnim.

What do you associate with Iris von Arnim? 
For me, Iris von Arnim stands for luxury, craftsmanship and tradition. 

What is your favorite Christmas tradition? 
I love to host a Tea Time for friends at Christmas time, where you spend cozy time together and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I often try out new cake recipes and am completely in my element decorating cakes and decorating my home with lots of Christmas branches and candles. 

Your insider tip for Paris during Christmas time? 
Paris is very romantic in the evening with all the lights of the city and at Christmas time with the festive lighting. It's nice to take a long walk along the Seine in the afternoon and then stop for late tea time at one of the wonderful hotels Paris has to offer. The festive atmosphere immerses you in another world and I love trying new patisseries. Then, if it's already dark and youā€™re extra lucky, you might even see the glittering Eiffel Tower. 

Your ultimate tip: How do you make perfect cookies? 
One of the most important ingredients is time. To get me in the mood, I light candles and listen to music. It's also essential to have patience, only then you have the perfect position for successful cookies. You can also prepare the dough the night before and let it rest in the refrigerator. 

Then, for me, the most beautiful part of baking cookies is decorating and garnishing, where there are no limits to your imagination. You can create something wonderful from the simplest cookies by adding small ingredients such as nuts, chocolate icing and frosting from the simplest cookies.
